Sunny Mullick focuses his practice on general and complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy. Over more than 17 years, he has litigated numerous contractual disputes, real estate related actions, business torts, foreclosures, insurance and reinsurance actions, construction industry actions and suits involving application of foreign law. His bankruptcy experience includes representing trustees and creditors in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 cases and in adversary proceedings. He also has extensive experience litigating multi-million dollar receivership actions. He frequently appears in both state and federal courts, and has significant arbitration experience. He has represented individuals, corporations, banks and financial institutions, insurance companies, investors and foreign governments. Through strategic collaborations with other experienced attorneys, he is also able to represent clients in other types of cases including: wage and overtime (FLSA), employment discrimination, criminal, DUI and personal injury.
Originally from New York, Mr. Mullick received his undergraduate degree from Tufts University, and his J.D. degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He is a member of the bars of the states of Florida, New York and New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the District of New Jersey. Prior to relocating to Florida in 2004, he practiced law in New York and New Jersey for several years. He has worked at prominent law firms in New York and Florida.
Mr. Mullick is the recipient of several awards recognizing his ability as a litigation attorney and a bankruptcy attorney. He was selected as a Florida Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine in 2009. He was selected as one of South Florida’s Top Rated Lawyers by Legal Leaders™ in 2012 and 2013. Mr. Mullick is a former Board member and Executive Director of Sunil’s Home Orphanage, a Miami-based 501(c)(3) charity that helps orphans in India. He is also a former Board member of the Miami-Dade County Asian American Advisory Board. He is fluent in Hindi and conversational in French.
